Our Origin Story
After years of hosting events, quizzes, games, and general madness at holiday resorts and summer camps around the world, a return to the UK showed that the scene was offering a different vibe. Quizzes were tedious, predictable and boring. Something needed to be done.

So we did. We started small, one pub, one quiz. We realised we were onto something after a couple of months when we had teams sat on cushions, using a stool as a table. They were raucous nights of experimentation (ask the Buddha about the caber toss) but they were so much fun. We wanted to share it with more people.

We grew, adding themed quizzes, games nights and music bingo. The turbulence of Covid nearly brought us crashing down but fortunately we persevered.

We want to create nights where people actually want to show up early, sing along (badly we hope), argue with friends, and laugh until their cheeks hurt. Nights where the host isn’t just reading questions, they’re part of the fun.

Across all our offerings, we bring energy, cheek, and a sprinkle of controlled chaos. We don’t just run events, we make memories, spark laughs, and remind people that entertainment should always be fun.

P.S. After a long and quite intense discussion, we have agreed to allow a quote from our founder *some facts have creative license*:

"I’m the Quiz Buddha; the guru of games, the master of mayhem, the captain of chaos that you secretly love. The Fun Quiz Company came to me during a meditation retreat, I wanted to bring entertainment with personality and fun to the people!"
